Hospital examination beds have been around for a few years. The examination beds that started to be used on a large scale were manual hydraulic examination beds, which were a widely used type of examination bed. With the development of technology, more and more hospitals are using electric hydraulic examination beds.
Manual hydraulic examination beds use cylinders as actuators to control the various movements of the table. The posture action is mostly done by a hand-controlled gas spring assist system and the lifting action is done by a foot-controlled oil pump system driving the column equipment.
Electro-hydraulic examination beds are driven by electro-hydraulic. According to the clinical needs of the examination bed, press the corresponding button of the manipulator. After controlling the main board, the hydraulic motor and hydraulic pump are activated to work, and then the examination bed is controlled to change various positions, such as lifting, tilting left and right, moving fixed and other functions, so that it can meet the requirements of inspection operations. When the button is released, the table immediately stops moving and the inspection bed stays in that position.
The hydraulic examination bed is equipped with a limit switch to restrict the inspection bed to operate within a safe range.
1. Please check the load capacity of the hydraulic examination bed in the manual before use. As the bed of a hydraulic examination bed is very heavy, up to 30kg for a normal hydraulic bed, you should know the load bearing hydraulics before use.
2. Start and release the base brake correctly. Depress the brake pad next to the base and move it under the fixing lever to secure it. Activate the central mechanical brake loader to hold the hospital hydraulic inspection bed in place.
3. Prevention of trauma
(1) Anti-tilting: The hydraulic hospital examination bed is not locked in place when the base brake is opened. In this case, when operating the examination table or moving or transferring the patient, the table may shift and tilt, causing the patient to fall from the bed. Therefore, be sure to lock the examination table after completing the adjustment operation.
(2) To prevent pinching or crushing: Do not place your feet under the base when releasing the base brake.
(3) To prevent tripping: Place the cord in an appropriate position. Avoid tripping when walking.
(4) To prevent electric shock: Do not operate or maintain the inspection table while removing electrical access covers or control elements.
(5) Prevent burns: When using an electric knife, prevent the patient’s skin from touching the metal parts of the examination table, which may cause bypass burns.
4. The control panel should be hung on the side rails of the hospital hydraulic examination bed. Lines should be protected from surface extrusion and squeezing. Prevent damage to the wiring.
5. Do not place heavy objects on the power cord or allow the trolley to drop the power cord.
6. Do not allow the patient to sit on the headboard, handboard or legboard of the hospital hydraulic examination bed. Excessive weight may cause bending and damage to the accessories.
7. Two or more people should be present when opening the hydraulic examination bed. When it is necessary to open the hydraulic examination bed to remove debris from the bottom of the bed, two or more people should be present to prevent accidents.
