Basic knowledge of anesthetic machines for hospitals and other medical institutions

Time:2022-05-23

anesthetic machines are an essential part of many medical facilities, from hospitals to dental offices. They contain many important functions that enable the machine to function properly and safely.

A skilled anesthesiologist will know these common parts, even if the machine is of a different size.

Anesthetic those design

The anaesthesia machine is characterized by three distinct functional components. A high pressure system receives gas from a high pressure source and keeps the pressure constant. Then there is the medium pressure system, which receives gases from the hospital gas system or regulator and transmits them to various flow meters and/or oxygen flush valves. Finally, the low pressure system transfers gas from the flowmeter to the patient ventilation system, which also has an evaporator.

High pressure system

The system consists of all machine components that receive gas from high-pressure sources such as cylinders or hospital gas systems. This includes yoke blocks for connecting large gas cylinders to hose lines. It also includes gauges and pressure regulators that convert high, variable pressure sources to a lower, constant pressure that can be used in the machine.

Medium voltage system

This includes machine parts that receive reduced pressure gas. This may include pipe inlet connections for ventilators, pressure gauges and power outlets, and oxygen pressure fail-safe systems.

There is also an oxygen flushing system. This is a direct connection between the oxygen pressure regulator and the oxygen flush.

It is mainly used during mask ventilation, when there is a lot of leakage between the mask and the patient’s face and in patients with airway difficulties. It can also be used to provide ventilatory support in a variety of clinical Settings. When performing the oxygen irrigation, the patient receives pure oxygen that is not contaminated by any other gases.

Low pressure system

This is the part of the system that receives low pressure gas from the flowmeter. In this case, the pressure is slightly above atmospheric pressure. The low pressure system includes an evaporator, a device to ensure pressure safety, and a gas outlet. There is also a frequency valve which allows the use of breathing attachments which are semi-closed when turned in one direction and transfer gas to the circular absorber in the other direction.

Purchase new anesthesia equipment

By working together with all of these systems, the anesthesia machine is able to accurately prepare and deliver a mixture of gases to the patient.

If you are looking for new equipment, we provide superior anesthesia equipment to help their clinics become more efficient and successful.
